Gosforth Thursday
Unchanged squad not surprisingly. No Burns or Amla. Haven't got anyone else. If your going, hope you enjoy.

I'm sure some say it's easier to get to than Guildford.

So maybe spare a thought for those Surrey supporters trekking from Guildford to the Oval and back throughout the season.

Not sure what you are on about. I don't speak about others but it can be difficult for me on the M25 when they shut a section off, which happens frequently. But I don't like the ground anyway, which has got worse year after year.

Well, you did comment about your ''crap journey'' to Guildford on the other thread. I was just trying to gently make the point that Surrey supporters travel from many places to see our team and it's not always easy for some of us to get to the Oval as we still regularly do.
Yes, I had got the impression you're not overly enamoured of the ground.

Re: Gosforth Thursday
I see Durham have got Nic Maddinson playing today: he's the left-handed Australian batsman who looks like the keyboard player from Sparks who played T20 for us a few years ago. He was more than handy - couldn't we have signed him up ourselves for this tournament? It shows that there ARE decent overseas players available, contrary to the line we are being fed.

And I thought Surrey's stream was bad...

The quality of the stream is awful. I think we've taken 2 early wickets but it's difficult to tell.

The line we were fed is “don’t want to”, I thought? It suggests that we gave up on even trying to be competitive in this competition.

Re: Gosforth Thursday
A good start, but we knew the bowling was less weak than the batting. On this pitch, with our batting line-up and against the likes of Rushworth, we don't want to be chasing more than 180.

Lawes is a great prospect. Which means we’ll never see him again!

Right on the limit.of what we should be able to chase...we have a chance, but probably only if Geddes and the out-of-form Patel make 100 between them.

Blimey. Are these the same bowlers I saw on Tuesday?
Mot sure how good or bad Durham are but at least we've turned up with the ball.

He’s also signed to play 4 day stuff for the rest of the season also. I don’t think any have been signed just for this tournament.

Re: Gosforth Thursday
Why is Verdi playing.
It goes from bad to worse for him bot even getting a bowl.
