I see Conor McKerr has been recalled early from his loan spell at Derbys and is in the 13 man squad for tonight's t20 away to Glamorgan.

I reckon he could well play. With Rikki Clarke seemingly out of favour, McKerr appears the most logical replacement for unavailable new dad Jordan Clark.

Is Conor still with us this season? I haven't been paying attention to pre season, was he involved.

There was a rumour today that he had signed for Kent they weren't sure if it was permanent or a loan. There was even a swiftly deleted tween from the Kent official account saying he had joined for 2 months (didn't specify if it was a loan on not).

I rate Conor but with his injuries others have leapfrogged him in the pecking order. Sure he will have a part to play at some point this year when we are without Roach/Abbott and with the Currans and Overton missing.

He's still listed in the squad but I don't know if he's loaned out. I think he was last year? Problem is he's nearly always injured, but I always thought had good potential. Maybe, as you say, we might see him later in in the season.

I thought I saw his name in a report of the friendly against Middlesex. As a bowler, that is, not an absentee.

He is a decent squad bowler, but he is clearly behind Roach, Abbott, Worrall, Clark, Lawes and I'd say Atkinson in the queue. Probably ahead of Taylor, Kimber, Barnwell and Dunn, who is understandably taking time out but may be back soon. Have I forgotten anybody who's fit and likely to be available?

He was rather expensive and not terribly effective whenever he turned out last year (eg Scarborough). His highlight was a fine catch on the long-leg boundary off Kemar Roach to end a stubborn last-wicket stand when we went through Warwickshire on the final morning to set up a victory that had seemed unilkely after Day 3.

His best bowling figures 5/54 came 6 years ago while on loan to Derbyshire.He has also appeared for my local team Sutton CC.

He's just gone on loan to Kent, initially for two matches but will probably turn out to be more. Smart move, he'd be very unlikely to get a game with us before the break at the end of July when Abbott leaves, unless at least 3 of those above him in the pecking order get injured. Not sure we'll need him around for the T20 either. We will however probably need him back for the 50-over stuff, unless by some miracle he gets a gig in "that which shall not be mentioned".

Makes Sense giving him valuable game time given he is unlikely to start at the moment.

I know Mckerr is thought highly at The Oval but he’s opportunities are it appears very limited.

He is at Derbyshire at the moment on loan isnt he? Not a bad bowler but not good enough to get in our side.

I think he went to Notts recently for a few games.Becoming a loan Ranger.

Minster was the club I was thinking off. Matt Coles was there too.
