Should Surrey move for Langer? I am aware Batty has been appointed interim coach but with a proper recruitment process due to take place after this season anyway and coaches of Langer’s calibre not coming along often should Surrey move now …

Would he want the job? He's not coached in England before to my knowledge. I saw somewhere that Strauss is looking at him for the England job.

Some speculation he wouldn’t fancy crossing the Ashes divide. We have stagnated since winning championship in 2018 - Langer could be the type of character we need. Read somewhere he would be keen on a county coaching role - not many better opportunities than Surrey
