31 mins. Featuring some awful, awful comments by Ravi Shastri, who says six nations should lose their test status.

I don’t see why Sky gives a platform to such views. I see no support for franchises is English cricket for such views. Most people I speak to don’t agree with these views, but I’m sure .

I’m not sure the answer is ever to not give a platform to such views - they need to be properly debated and that particular view wasn’t. Sky are usually very good though. I think on this occasion they were too shocked to respond.

Sky of course love the horrid hundred, not to be criticised on air.

Re: The Future of the Game (Sky)
This is a brilliant article

"f only the ECB had spent as much time promoting the traditional game as they have encouraging people to say ‘batter’ instead of ‘batsman’. In the interests of ‘diversity’, of course. Batsman is such an offensive word that women have stayed away from cricket for decades, wounded by the assumption of male superiority."

Re: The Future of the Game (Sky)
Let's take "batter" "thirds" nightwatcher" and "diversity," a bit further and see how absurd it is:
Backward Point discriminates against people with learning difficulties
Silly Point discriminates against people with mental illness
Short Leg discriminates against short people. Long Leg tall people
Square Leg discriminates against people with physical disabilities
You'll get my point, but this is how stupid, banal and idiotic society has become.

It could of course get worse

This would at least resolve the issue in another thread about Chris Jordan, Jason Roy and Tom Curran. Oval Knight Riders anyone ?

Re: The Future of the Game (Sky)
Never heard of backwood point. But I do vaguely remember seeing Tom Curran bowl.
