Test Match Pitches

As a matter of interest check out the score of Sri Lanka vs Ireland. Now either each side is batting superbly, the bowling is rank or most likely the pitch is the worst road you can imagine. Blimey what an awful bore. I'd be surprised if even one man and his dog were watching. Countries should be penalised for below par pitches like this because they'll ruin test cricket way before the hit and giggle does.

Ireland’s bowling is pretty poor in fairness. Also Sri Lanka have quietly been impressive under Silverwood, with a test win vs Australia in Galle and running New Zealand very close over the winter. They only narrowly missed out on a WTC final spot.

Well what do I know? Innings defeat for the Irish. But even so the first 4 days......
