Kent v Surrey
Tom Latham is indeed here for this one.
14-man squad announced: I'd go Burns, Sibley, Latham, Smith, Jacks, Foakes, Clark, Abbott, Lawes, Atkinson, Worrall
Very tempted to promote Abbott above Clark in the batting order given his form...

Hi Jackers - I agree with your eleven and think that's what Stewart & Batty will go with unless it looks a real bunsen in which case Moriarty could edge out Lawes.
Foakes is usually at 5 for Surrey and so I would expect him to bat in front of Jacks.
Hi Badges - enjoy your time in Canterbury watching in your words ''real cricket''. Grateful for any updates from the ground. As we all know, the Club tells us b*gg*r all!

OK. We'll probably still get more from you and quicker than the Club.

Team unbalanced with seamer’s I reckon Steel will play particularly with the fine weather forecast.

I like the optimism GB but I think that even on a bunsen, Steel gets in ahead of Moriarty at the moment. I think it’ll be as flat as the Beckenham wickets we rarely get a result on.

It looked like we could in for a long day in the field, then suddenly it's carnage with the Kent top 5 going down like skittles, three of them without scoring.

We certainly need to ensure at least one of them comes back for the final run of matches in September.

Poor bowling from Moriaty. He's no better than Jacks in my view. In fact not much good from anyone's at the moment.

Should have been straightforward for someone of Foakes' skill and experience. A bad miss which is proving increasingly expensive.

We seem to have recently returned to our bad ways in respect of an inability to dispense with the tail. 100 for the 9th wicket is shocking.

Started well but ended miserably, really let them off the hook,,big time. Lots of hard work ahead against a poor team,to get a positive result from here! Very disappointing!!!

Gus Atkinson can bat, but he doesn't strike me as a natural night-watchman. Dan Worrall likewise. Of the options available, I wonder whether Dan Moriarty might have been the best choice? Bottom line: if you don't have someone in your tail who is suited to the role in terms of technique and temperament, it is best not to deploy one.
