But it wasn't the horrible named accuse for slogging Bazball. It was controlled hitting and some wonderful shots. Sibleys innings was just as important. Great win considering Hampshire probably had the best of the conditions.

I daresay you haven’t been watching England, because that is what “bazball” is. Sibley also had a go after tea (43 from 52).

If it was Bazball we’d have got the runs in 30 overs not 55.

Quite. But would have probably been bowled out as well.
Even Bairstow himself hates the stupid term Bazball. Sounds like something from an under 10s playgroup. And it's T20 slogging which England won't be able to do against the Aussie attack, they didn't get away with against NZ.

So is every time a team chases down a target going to be referred to as “baz ball” now?

My understanding of Bazball is that it means going hard at the bowling from the off. Our openers certainly didn't do that, and nor really did Ollie Pope until after tea . It was just a well-timed chase.

We went at 7 an over after tea. It was very similar to England’s chase at Trent Bridge last summer. If you’re seriously saying you didn’t enjoy today’s play then I think you’re not going to enjoy much red ball cricket going forward.

Personally I can’t wait for our next game.

Of course it was enjoyable, but it was a carefully excecuted run chase that teams have done for decades. Hollioake and Co. did it just as well as England 20 years ago. Why some have to give it a stupid name because it's just the " fashionable" thing to call it is really a bit infantile.

No need for that. It's just a discussion.

No need for him to talk to me like that. If he did that
to my face he would be in the St John’s ambulance
part of the Oval.
