BURNS....34.11
SIBLEY....31.85

Just a few.Pope of course is top with 57.50 but i doubt we will see a lot more of him this season.

Paradoxically I think this shows how well we have performed as a team, that we don't have any standout batters but yet have been doing well.

9 batting points to Warwickshire's 11 suggest were not that great. Even 8th place Somerset have 10 batting points.

I'm not sure that under the new system there is any great merit in taking risks in a quest for 4 or 5 batting points, which means scoring at a fast pace within the 110 overs. Far better to build a strong foundation for victory (and the 16 points) as we have been doing very effectively.

This was certainly also shown by our bowlers working as a pack against Middlesex. Our five frontline seamers took all 20 Middlesex wickets with each bagging between 3 and 5.
