Struggling is the answer. Having just one overseas player whose form seems to have deserted him for the southern hemisphere at the moment doesn't help (we seem to pick 'em - the last one was Handscomb). However, I think you could say the same quality-wise about Kent and Northamptonshire and one of the three is going to stay up.

I'm not a fan of praying for rain so although the draw points would have been handy I'm sort of glad it didn't turn out that way. Pity Bamber didn't get a maiden fifty.

Hampshire and Essex playing each other twice in the Final run in to the Championship season which could well prove decisive.

Somerset in good form atm interesting to see the type of wicket they produce for Tuesday. Like us their attack is pace dominated and no dust bowls this season.

Yes. It looks like rain after day 1 though.

Hampshire v Essex massive game if Essex are victorious I think it’s a Two Horse race.

I'd like to see Kent and Middlesex get relegated. For no other reason than i'd be able to see some different teams playing who i rarely see nowadays.Leic,Derby,Glouc etc........................

Given Durham some respect I don’t think the rest of Div 2 quality is any better.
