Sky told, sorry requested the ECB complete the Ashes before August so that there was a clean break before the Premier League football started. Convenient for the 100 too.

Now let's get rid of the 100 completely. It's only played here and no one is at all interested overseas. Pointless competition.

Great news, although as this excellent article says there are some tricky questions to resolve. The cause of all the problems is the horrid Hundred. At least the new Chairman seems to have some regard for county cricket.
