What is all the fuss over Sudhasan? Is he a batsman or an all rounder? Either way I've not seen him do anything to warrant a place in this side. And Curran. Really? When did he last show any interest in red ball.

Extraordinary that Foakes is getting stick. That was a valuable 200 run partnership that put us in control. It’s a County game , not T20 for goodness sake. He did a fabulous job for the team.

I understand that they weren't able to start until 5.15 given the amount of rain that fell today. But for pity's sake, why are they going back to being so ridiculously over-fussy about less than perfect light this year? The batsmen wear helmets, and while Sam Curran is waspish medium pace he is hardly Joffra Archer. Umpires really do not help the game.

Last night was ridiculous. You could hardly see the floodlight shadows when they went off.

David Millns really pisses me off. He treats everything and everyone which such disdain. Yesterday there was a delay due to something wrong with the stumps. Batsman tried to fix it, couldn't, keeper tried to fix it, couldn't. Only then did Millns condescend to move from square leg, ambling at a snail's pace. Got halfway there, stopped. Waited for someone else to fix it. Ambled back.

What happened to "get the game on"?

Rant over.

Assuming Somerset don't achieve a miracle this afternoon, I'd say we need just one more win (and a couple of draws) to secure the title. We may not need that much: if the other two slip up next week we might be able to clinch it at Taunton.

Most they can get is 96 points. More likely 92 given the ridiculous run rate needed to get max BPs.

62 points needed to put it beyond doubt.

Given that we took all of one point from the Aviva (how the hell did that happen?), I am not getting confident yet.

Bearing in mind how Connor McKerr has bowled recently,is he still going to Yorks next season. From what I have seenof late,he is bowling better than I have seen him before and is more consistent.
