Alex. It's not just you. On a number of occasions the stream stops just s the ball is bowled or as the batsman hits it.
The scores etc also look out of focus often-I thought I had the wrong glasses on.
Good to see Rory kept his runs for these matches rather than the 50 over comp.

Unfortunately he isn't. And the more you listen to his commentary the worse it gets. If I have to listen to the tree in Dan Worrall's garden one more time....

Whilst he hasnt played much for us recently, its nice to see Virdi help his contracted team out
Currently 31 no off 42 balls, inc 2 sixes of Harmer, to move the Worcs score along. from 10-4 and 46-5 this morning, they have done well to get to around 250

Who said Virdi couldn't bat?
Perhaps it will serve us right if he now takes wickets and gets 3 blinding catches.

Serve us right? If he can demolish Essex it will have been a masterstroke.

By the way any news on Mark Church certainly missed in my opinion.Ray AFCW wrote:Dan Whiting is no Mark Church is he?

Well that is what comes of upping the run rate. 3 quick wickets and only a few runs quickly.
Get to 299 slowly now 317 for 5.

We really do need to get maximum batting points so 450 is a must in my book.

Certainly 400, but that will be a stretch. Pretty tricky to get max BPs these days given you get 110 overs to do it.
Think the pitch is already starting to deteriorate, which is good news with runs on the board.

339/5 from 96 overs at stumps. To reach 400 in 110 overs and get 4 batting points looks a stretch from here. Maximum batting points nigh on impossible.

Taking everything into account, we can be pleased with today. It's refreshing to hear that Surrey have won the toss and will bat. The pitch was absolutely dead from the word go: Notts are depleted in the seam department and their spinners bowled pretty well, especially the young debutant.
Rory Burns looked like he was on course to beat the career-best he achieved in the last game until he mistimed one. Ryan Patel and Will Jacks looked good until both surprisingly got out. Ben Foakes was not a happy bunny at the decision that sent him back first ball.
We have the batting left to post 400 in the first hour tomorrow, then it is over to the bowlers. On paper, Notts' batting is their stronger suit in this match and it may be that we will look to Jacks and Steel to get something out of a pitch which even our dynamic duo of Worrall and Clark may find difficult to get results on.
From a personal point of view I want at least two full days' cricket as my return train isn't until Saturday evening. I think on this pitch that is looking likely.

400 just before lunch seems more likely. I think their bowlers will have something to say about it.Jackers wrote:Taking everything into account, we can be pleased with today. Jackers and anyone else at the game today - any word from the boundary about Roach missing out? Thanks.

No, nothing. I suspect they assessed the pitch and factored in the Kookaburra ball. As I said yesterday, four games in as many weeks might have been a stretch for him. He will surely play in the remaining three now, which means Sudharsan stepping down at Taunton to accommodate our combustible Afghan.

So Sud is here for the rest of the season Jackers I thought it was just 2 games.
I imagine he will play in the T20 quarter final then.

I can almost assure you he won't. He will play this game and head off back to India

Re: Notts v Surrey (29th August+) Match 11 County Championship
You may be right, which explains why we were keen to fill the slot for Taunton.
Unless the championship is still up for grabs after that match, I suspect we will be content with just Roach as overseas for Durham and Essex.
Re T20...did he play in any of the games during his brief spell with us in June? If not, then would he be eligible for the quarter final even if he is minded to stay on an extra few days?

Indian players do not participate in any foreign T20 leagues. Period.
He's off to play in the Duleep Trophy or whatever it's called, some domestic competition feature most of India's test players

Is this confirmed?
Suharson here just for 2 matches

See that Blake has just scored a double century for the 2nds, surely we need to be bringing through squad players in last few matches. 210 not out

No surprise if they expect a boatload of turn
Surrey
Rory Burns (Captain)
Dom Sibley
Ryan Patel
Will Jacks
Ben Foakes (Wicket Keeper)
Sai Sudharsan
Cameron Steel
Jordan Clark
Tom Lawes
Conor McKerr
Dan Worrall
It does seem nuts we release a team sheet and that is our batting order set in stone, you'd have though when Burns was out 308-3/86.5 Overs we'd decide we need to get a shift on to get full batting points, perhaps promote someone who can move the score on?
Is that man Ben Foakes?
