Dan Worrall joins from 2022 on 3 year deal

My player of the season is Worrall, marginal over Roach who has also been excellent. It does seem a habit on here for there to be some sneering comments about new signings unless they are big names, perhaps those who had a go at the club for signing an old Aussie who had never done anything would like to reconsider.

I have to admit I thought he was surplus to requirements when we signed him. With seam bowlers growing out of our ears I didn’t think we needed yet another one…

But he’s surpassed all expectations for sure and has earmarked himself in front of established stars like Tom Curran and Jordan Clark. Well played, sir… or should we say “good on ya mate”.

Dan Worrall has been brilliant this season. If he was English I'd expect him to be a contender for the Test squad for Pakistan.

He has English residency so could be but we don't want him joining the Bazeball brigade.
