A good day, weather was lovely and to see Amla score a ton was a joy to watch hopefully tomorrow they can add more and get us near to 400

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
Amla showed his class today, with good knocks from Patel and Overton. With the ball keeping low, it looks promising for the spinners tomorrow.

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
a good day, and hopefully we can press on and make close to 400 today
I must admit I was slightly surprised that Overton came in ahead of Clarke, but pleased he did.
The 2 spinners could be vital come the 3rd/4th day

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
Think this is petering out into a draw. Someone needs to seize the initiative - either some pie-chucking or some slogging.

Very impressed with Abbott's knock.
All down to Amla and Clarke really, hope we can kick on to 400+

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
Yes, the stream is up and running. I'm getting a strange message when I try to post it - something to do with new members not being allowed to post external links.
Googling 'Surrey v Gloucestershire' should do the trick.

There is a stream. This forum won't let me post the link but just go to the main Surrey site or follow Surrey cricket on Facebook & you'll find it quickly enough

We now have a fire, apparently. Makes a change from arrows stopping play.

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
Such is the poor coverage of the PA I couldn’t hear what that was...!
This is into “when will we declare” territory.

1 run in 3 overs...yet again Surrey allowing a game to drift aimlessly

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
I'm glad Rikki decided to go when he did, decent score but not sure thats enough to bat just the once.

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
might not be enough to only bat once, but it certainly puts us in the driving seat. If we can get into them tonight then they will be under pressure.

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
A shame we have no Roach, Topley and Clark...I would have fancied them to have been dangerous in these conditions.
It will be interesting to see Abbot, Clarke and Overton

Re: Gloucestershire tomorrow
The one plus point about the rather modest tempo (save for Rikki's belated acceleration) is it should ensure we get a good measure of cricket to watch on Day 4. Nothing more frustrating than a gloriously sunny day with no cricket because the game finished in three days.

Overton on his knees. There’s a metaphor for his Surrey career.
